I just want to give a shoutout to my main drugstore, CVS!! It’s really a fantastic store to get your beauty products from especially when you’re on a budget. Now, I know some may be thinking “Wait.. what?? They’re always a few dollars more than big box stores..how is this budget friendly?”. Read on to find out!!

When you take advantage of the CVS Extrabucks program, Rewards card, and coupons, you’re saving A TON of money. I am a single mom of a 6 year old boy which means my budget for beauty is almost non-existent. However, because of all three mentioned keywords above, I am able to spend a little on myself for the drugstore brands I covet most.

I’ve purchased two Maybelline mascara’s for $1.69 out the door. I’ve gotten two NYX matte lipsticks for $3 out the door. Physician’s Formula products I get for almost next to nothing.

An example of my transaction today:

Spend $14 on ANY Physician’s formula cosmetics, receive $10 EBs.

My Transaction:

1 Phy. Formula Pro Elixir: $15.49

Used:

$3/12 Cosmetics CVS Coupon, $10 EB (from previous trip), $2 EB (from previous trip)

Subtotal: .49+.97 tax=$1.46 OTD!

An almost $16 product, and I only spent pocket change AND received $10 additional EBs to use next time!

When you first start out, you will spend more out of pocket because you have to build up your Extrabucks stash. But it’s super easy and almost addicting in a way to save so much money. Plus, if you pair your extrabucks with coupons from the newspaper or printables online, you’re saving even more.

What’s your favorite way to shop? Do you scout the best deals or just buy whatever tickles your fancy at any given moment? Let me know in the comments below and as always, stay beautiful!
