Awhile back, I wrote a post on my mini e.l.f. haul. After using most of the products, I’ve decided its time to review this undereye setting powder. I was super excited to try it (especially at only $3) so this is my honest review of the product.

At first glance, the packaging was simple and minimalistic which I love. The jar itself is small but packs a-lot of product in it.

For $3, I wasn’t expecting miracles but I was pleasantly surprised to see the amount of product in the jar. It says its supposed to include a brush but I never received one in my package so… that was kind of a bummer. Instead, I just used my small oval brush to apply the setting powder.

I will say that if you have extra dry skin like I do, you definitely want to make sure you moisturize the undereye area VERY well. Otherwise, this powder is gonna cake and look like a hot mess on ya. Not that I learned that from experience or anything.. 😉

Also, the powder itself is SUPER white!! I’m not sure this would work for all skin-tones. You’re definitely gonna need to blend and then blend some more. I also take a damp beauty blender sponge and just go over my entire face to pick up any excess product as a final touch.

There is a touch of shimmer in the product which, if applied with a heavy hand, can make you look very glittery. I’m assuming they added the shimmer for a brightening effect but I’m not really convinced it was necessary. I feel like my e.l.f. brightening concealer does a better job with that AND without the shimmer.

Overall, I’d say it’s not a terrible product. I don’t regret spending $3 on it but not sure that I would repurchase. It definitely does a good job of keeping my bottom liner from spreading/melting onto my face which I like and as long as I moisturize it doesn’t cake on me either.
