Well it has been some crazy few weeks…
My son graduated Kindergarten last Friday. No.. I didn’t cry. I was very proud of myself, actually. They made little paper caps to wear and even had a red carpet to walk down after the principal said their name. Still didn’t cry. Not even when they sang their four little songs they had been rehearsing for weeks…
It wasn’t until we got home when I opened up this beautiful scrapbook his teacher had made with all the artwork and projects he had made throughout the year… the very last page was a “diploma” and a photo of him wearing a red cap and gown. Guys, I lost it!! It was the sweetest, most beautiful photo I had ever seen of my child. His smile was adorable and gosh… guys!! I’m the mother of a kindy graduate now!! Where did my little boy go that I labored over 48 hours to birth?
It’s crazy how time goes by so quickly at some moments and seems so slow the next. I can’t wait to see what the next school year brings!!
OMG CONGRATS to your son on graduating kindergarten and you on not crying (until you got home, which doesn’t count, right?!)! AND also congrats to you on 48 hours of labor?! WHAT?! XO!
Aww thank you. yeah..the labor story will be another future blog post! hah!
You’re in for a lifetime of lovely memories, I think. And you said “48 hours to birth?” I get you. I had a 65 hour induced labor with emergency C-section. Baby got a 10 on the APGAR scale and I did great too. But what a ride! Thats why I have only one child, lol!
Oh yeah!! I was induced as well and had an emergency C-section too!! Gotta love hospital birth plans never going the way you expect them too!!
Another emergency Cesarean here. I was in labor for 24 hours and a failed vacuum attempt later, had a beautiful boy. He’s going to be having his school referral soon. I don’t want him to go. Lol. I think I’ll keep him until he has to go to kindergarten. Did you do preschool?
Aw so sweet!! I’m going to so when mine goes to school ðŸ˜
*sob!
