Today was my son’s third soccer game. It’s Peewee soccer so just imagine a group of 4 year old’s running around in circles chasing after a ball. Adorable. And the weather was gorgeous BUT hot!! To keep my skin from frying on the sidelines, here are a couple of my budget friendly items I keep in my bag on the regs.

Hello lovely readers. Sorry for the abscence. I have been busy with life and getting my eBay store up and ready. Shameless plug but feel free to click here to check it out! It’s chock full of designer jeans, cute shirts, kid clothing and more… all for under retail value! =P
Anywho, with that being said.. a few weeks ago I was the lucky winner of Lucky Magazine LuckyBreaks contest!! I won a prize package totaled to be worth around $200!! Needless to say I was super stoked. One of the prizes I received was something I have never tried before called Huile Prodigieuse Dry Oil.
Doesn’t it just look gorgeous!? I’ve never used dry oils before and was super excited to try this. It says multi-usuage so I used it on everything!! Hair, skin, cuticles, body, etc etc.
The smell is unlike anything I’ve ever smelled before. I can’t even begin to describe it to you but I shall try. To me, it smelled somewhat like coconut and sunscreen with floral undertones and a coffee note. Weird, I know. But honestly.. unless you use this.. you cannot even BEGIN to imagine the pleasantness of the smell. The bottle is gorgeous, sleek and luxurious and sexy. LOVE. The feel of it on the skin is amazing. It literally made my skin uber-soft and almost glowy! On hair, it felt silky as long as I didn’t overdo it and turn it into a giant greaseball.
Definitely pricey!! The size I received retails for about $45 but you *can* get a 1.7 oz bottle for around $29. The good thing about either sizes is that a little bit of oil really does go a looooooong way. Also, be careful when using multiple times. Since it’s an oil your hands will obviously be slick until it drys. Careful when picking up the bottle as it could easily slide out of your hands and break. *cry*.
Final Score: 5/5
Despite the price, I still firmly believe that while not the cheapest of dry oils out there, it is still a good value because you only need a little drop to get amazingly smooth skin. The smell is great, the bottle is sexy, and my skin has never felt smoother. Seriously in LOVE and definitely my product of the month.
For purchase, click here. Trust me, you won’t regret it!! If you have any other dry oil recommendations let me know in the comments. As always, stay beautiful!
I was all set to unveil the Target Beauty Box that I just got in the mail but alas.. my camera decided to be a putz!! So unfortunately, y’all beauties will have to wait tommorow for that. *le sigh*.

Hello y’all. I know it’s been awhile since I’ve last updated. Sometimes that kinda stuff is going to happen. Having a family is my first priority but that doesn’t mean I will let y’all fall to the wayside. Without the support of my subscribers, I never would be doing this. So thank you, one and all.
Recently, I was able to qualify for the Holiday VoxBox from Influenster. Included in this box was the Goody QuikStyle Paddle Brush. This brush retails for about $13 at most major drugstores. Here’s what Goody has to say about their product:
About This Product
Hello readers!!! Sorry for the short abscence. With Christmas, plus my son’s FIRST birthday I have been one busy bee! But alas, another fun-filled product review for y’all to enjoy.
blowpro Heat Is On Blow Dry Styling Mist was a product I was able to try through the Bloom Ambassador program. I was super excited as it actually gave me a reason to try and do SOMETHING with my hair. Usually, I just air-dry and call it a day. This product FORCED me to try and style my hair (to my newbish ability).
In the words of blowpro:
- Weightless conditioning mist protects hair from heat styling.
- Enhances styling flexibility and imparts gorgeous luster to locks.
- Detangles and strengthens hair.
- Can also be used to touch-up or re-style dry hair.
- Paraben and sulfate free.
Happy December guys! I know I’ve been away for a few… so sorry! With the holiday’s coming up, I’ve been super busy prepping and planning. In addition to the usual festivities, my son’s FIRST birthday is in just a few short weeks so I’ve been eagerly attending to all the little details to his party as well. It’s been hectic but SOOO much fun. Can’t even believe my lil’ nugget is already going to be 1… *sniff sniff*.
Until I can get back to my more regular blogging routine, here’s a few things I’m wishing for this Christmas!
What are some of the things on YOUR wishlist this Holiday season? Leave me some love and let me know. Xoxo!
I was super excited to have the ability to test out this Lea Journo Parfait Intense Hydrating Masque through my work as a Bloom Beauty Ambassador. Read on to hear my thoughts on this masque.
The jar is super pretty! All icy blue and silver and looks gorgeous sitting in my bathroom. The smell is pleasant, rather unisex and not too perfumey. The product itself isn’t super thick, rather creamy, and doesn’t lay flat against your head in an oily mess once applied.
The jar itself is huge! That’s great considering the price ($40) but doesn’t make it easy to fit on my shower ledge. As of now, its precariously perched.. hopefully it shall stay perched!
And, while I did notice a tad more softness, it honestly didn’t seem to work any better than my cheaper, drugstore hair masque. For the price, I would have liked to see more results.
FINAL RATING: 3/5
The packaging, while bulky, is pretty and would look nice sitting on a vanity (not on a teensy shower ledge!!). It has a pleasant scent and doesn’t leave my hair looking like an oil slick. However, the hydrating benefits aren’t any better than my regular drugstore masque and the price is too much for me to want to spend on something that’s just “ok”.
Perhaps you’ll have better results than I did. You buy it and can try it out here.
I have tried numerous beauty products over the years. Some have gone the way of the Dinosaurs while others have managed to stay in general rotation for various reasons. Here are some of my favorites.
