Hello y’all. I know it’s been awhile since I’ve last updated. Sometimes that kinda stuff is going to happen. Having a family is my first priority but that doesn’t mean I will let y’all fall to the wayside. Without the support of my subscribers, I never would be doing this. So thank you, one and all.
Recently, I was able to qualify for the Holiday VoxBox from Influenster. Included in this box was the Goody QuikStyle Paddle Brush. This brush retails for about $13 at most major drugstores. Here’s what Goody has to say about their product:
About This Product
Happy December guys! I know I’ve been away for a few… so sorry! With the holiday’s coming up, I’ve been super busy prepping and planning. In addition to the usual festivities, my son’s FIRST birthday is in just a few short weeks so I’ve been eagerly attending to all the little details to his party as well. It’s been hectic but SOOO much fun. Can’t even believe my lil’ nugget is already going to be 1… *sniff sniff*.
Until I can get back to my more regular blogging routine, here’s a few things I’m wishing for this Christmas!
What are some of the things on YOUR wishlist this Holiday season? Leave me some love and let me know. Xoxo!
So I had my son about 4 months ago. When I was pregnant, my hair was supple, lustrous and super shiny! I’ve never had better hair. Since having my son, my hair is lacking luster, super dry and is falling out all over the place! Apparently, this is a normal occurence. I, however, HATE it! I don’t even wash my hair everyday because I hate how I shed so much. I can’t even run my hand over my hair without strands coming off. It’s disgusting and embarrassing and I’m worried about going bald. I can already see certain sections that when I pull my hair back just so… ugh. What’s a girl to do!?
This is where I’m hoping some of my readers can help me! This isn’t a super popular blog, but I know some of y’all out there might be able to offer me a little insight. How can I keep my hair from falling out all over the place? Is it just a time thing? Will it get better? Is there any sort of product/supplement I can use/take that will help my hair along?
I need some advice! So please, ladies and gents… help a gal out! Whatever advice you have, I’ll gladly take.
Back in October, I entered a contest I found in my Lucky magazine for a Rusk Deepshine Oil Shampoo and Conditioner set. I’ve always wanted to try this brand but never wanted to take the plunge and shell out the money for it. It’s not super expensive but its more money than I would usually spend on my hair.
I had to wait almost 4 months to receive my prize due to issues unknown to me. However, when it finally did arrive, I couldn’t wait to try them out. At first sniff, it almost reminded me of something my boyfriend would use; somewhat masculine. But then, on second sniff, the smell had mellowed out into a pleasant, fresh aroma. It’s sulfate free, which I love and claims to be suitable for all hair types. It promises to leave hair silky and shiny due to the argan oil used.
Upon letting my hair air dry and after brushing, I did notice a direct improvement in the shine of my hair. My hair is thick and quite dry and this shampoo really brought out shine that I had never seen before using my other shampoos. It made it feel silky to the touch and it no longer felt like straw. This was only after one use. I can’t wait to continue using it to see further improvements.
Overall, I was quite pleased with these products. I’d love to try more of the Rusk line in the future. If you’re interested in winning great beauty products, I’d definitely recommend checking out Lucky magazine. They have great giveaways and a fantastic magazine. If you’re interested in subscribing, click here. $9.97 will get you a year (12 issues) while $15 will get you two years (24 issues). With your paid subscription for 2 years, you’ll even get a free bag and jeans guide. Dontcha just love free stuff?! =)
Spring will be here before you know it! Here’s my must-have items for this season!
Instead of using the same old basic blacks and browns of old, try something a bit more fresh. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil comes in various hues ranging from midnight blue (Binge), eggplant (Crash) and hot pink (Woodstock). It’s a funky, fresh way to play up your eyes and try something new. ($19).
New Smokey Eyes
I’m dying to try out this elf Eyeshadow Palette in Smoky. It’s a softer take on the traditional smokey eye; perfect for daytime! And the price is a steal! ($3)
Nothing says spring like a fresh, new scent. Victoria’s Secret Strawberries and Champagne Fragrance Mist is the perfect smell to liven up any Spring day! Fresh, clean and absolutely delicious! A great mist to spray on anytime. ($12)
To get my hair in tip-top shape for Spring, I’d try the Body Shop’s Rainforest Moisture Hair Butter. It’s natural ingredients like honey and olive oil claim to treat even the most dry and damaged hair. A price for a product that can’t be beat. ($14)
These are just some of my favorite products for Spring. I’d love to hear your feedback. What are some of your go-to items for Spring?
